The Sting Ray was created to meet the needs of the avid sportsman. Its handle is larger to add more leverage & control when cutting.

There is extra jibbing added for the thumb when extra thumb pressure/leverage is applied to the back of the tang.

The Sting Ray is the sportsman’s knife for those who want the utmost in safety. It has an Full Sized nearly enclosed grip consisting of a forward index finger bolster, definitive finger grooves, tapered handle and rear finger bolster. The generous thumb rest has a moderate rise and significant grooving to protect the thumb from sliding out of safe position. Take a hold of this knife and feel for yourself how well your fingers are protected! For finer work, a forward index groove and thumb rest are placed in front of the handle to allow a choked-up grip for delicate cutting tasks. A razor sharp drop point utility blade and full tang construction makes the Sting Ray perfect for all around usefulness. Notice that the blade is mounted slightly below the axis of the fist, giving further protection to the hand and fingers.
